SUMMARY:ACTRA Toronto Videogame Working Group MoCap Self-Tape Workshop
DESCRIPTION:When: June 18\, 2026\, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m \nWhere: the ACTRA Toronto office (625 Church Street\, Suite 200\, Toronto) or online via Zoom \nIn this interactive 90-minute session\, selected participants will have their self-tapes reviewed live by a panel of industry experts\, who will offer practical\, unfiltered feedback on performance\, physicality\, framing\, and what actually stands out in a self-tape. The session will conclude with a live Q&A\, giving members the chance to ask questions directly and gain deeper insight into the craft and expectations of MoCap work. \nHow to Participate:  \nOption 1: Attend the Workshop \nVirtual attendees will receive the Zoom link 1–2 days before the workshop. Please RSVP below. \nOption 2: Submit a Self-Tape for Expert Feedback \nWant your work reviewed by the panel? \n\nVisit the submission page to access the audition sides and full submission instructions.\nRecord a self-tape as though you are auditioning for a motion capture role.\nSubmit your self-tape using the online submission form by 5 p.m. on June 5\, 2026.\n\nYou must also register for the workshop below. Submitting a self-tape does not automatically reserve your spot for the event. \nSelected self-tapes will be reviewed during the workshop\, with industry professionals providing feedback on: \n\nPerformance choices\nPhysicality and movement\nCamera framing and self-tape technique\n\nImportant Notes \n\nIn-person seating is limited. If capacity is reached\, you will be placed on a waitlist and notified accordingly.\nIf you can no longer attend in person\, please email membership@actratoronto.com so your spot can be offered to another member.\nNot all submitted self-tapes will be selected for live review.
