TORONTO, ON (April 8, 2025) – ACTRA Toronto is pleased to announce the nominees for the Outstanding Performance Voice Awards and the recipient of the Stunt Award. The 23rd ACTRA Awards in Toronto, proudly presented by AFBS and produced by Yellow House Events, will take place during an evening ceremony on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Koerner Hall at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning.

The ACTRA Toronto Stunt Award will be presented to Cotton Mather.
“This year we are thrilled to celebrate our talented voice performers at the ACTRA Awards in Toronto and shine a spotlight on our youth members with the introduction of the Youth Voice category,” says ACTRA Toronto President Kate Ziegler. “In 2025, we will applaud our members’ outstanding voice performances in everything from animation productions, narration and an audio play.”
Added Ziegler: “Cotton Mather is an innovative force from the Canadian Stunt community. We are delighted to honour his contributions and reveal the skilled performance artistry behind the wheels of some of the most iconic scenes from the North American film canon.”
Candidates for ACTRA Toronto’s juried Outstanding Performance awards are submitted for consideration by ACTRA Toronto members. The nominees and winners are chosen by a jury comprised of ACTRA Toronto members that reflect the communities represented within the ACTRA Toronto membership. The ACTRA Toronto Stunt Award recipient is chosen by a jury comprised of past ACTRA Toronto Stunt Award recipients.
ACTRA Toronto is the largest organization within ACTRA, representing over 15,000 of Canada’s 30,000 professional performers working in recorded media in Canada. An advocate for Canadian culture since 1943, ACTRA is a member-driven union that continues to secure rights and respect for the work of professional performers.
