The results are in, and ACTRA members have voted not to adopt the proposed amendment to Article 6 of the Constitution.

While this means Article 6 will remain unchanged, the conversations sparked by this referendum have been important and necessary. Members across the union raised meaningful questions about governance, accountability, and financial reporting.

ACTRA Toronto remains deeply committed to that dialogue. We will continue the work already underway to increase transparency and engagement, including our Treasurer Talks, National by-law proposals, and a member-led dues reform process. As outlined in the recent message from ACTRA Toronto President Kate Ziegler, we are focused on delivering clearer financial communication, stronger pathways for trust and systems that reflect our members’ needs.

We thank every member who took the time to vote and share their voice in this important conversation.
