ACTRA Toronto Videogame Working Group MoCap Self-Tape Workshop

ACTRA Toronto’s Videogame Working Group presents its next initiative: a 90-minute, hands-on workshop from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on June 18, 2026, designed to help members sharpen their approach to self-taping for videogame motion capture auditions.

In this interactive session, selected participants will have their self-tapes reviewed live by a panel of industry experts offering practical, unfiltered feedback on performance, physicality, framing, and what actually stands out in a selftape.

Attendees will gain insight into the nuances of mocap auditions, learn what casting professionals are really looking for, and walk away with actionable tools to elevate their own submissions. The session will wrap with a live Q&A, giving members the chance to ask questions directly and dig deeper into the craft and expectations of MoCap work.

Whether you’re new to motion capture or looking to refine your technique, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to see the audition process through an industry lens.

NOTE:

• If you wish to observe only, please register below by 10 a.m. June 17, 2026, to attend online or in person (limited seating). The Zoom link will be sent to participants attending virtually a day or two before the workshop.
