“Ontario’s award-winning animation is exported around the world, and the characters created by our talented voice performers are adored by children and adults,” says ACTRA Toronto President David Gale. “I’m so proud to see that two of this year’s voice nominees are minors. For years ACTRA has worked hard to secure income protection and workplace safeguards for minors, including the passage of the Protecting Child Performers Act in Ontario in 2015.”
During the online broadcast, Tara Sky will present Jani Lauzon with ACTRA Toronto’s 2021 Award of Excellence.
The nominees for the on-camera Outstanding Performance – Female and Male awards and the Members’ Choice Series Ensemble award will be announced soon.
