The ACTRA Awards celebrate outstanding performances by ACTRA Toronto members. The Awards are an opportunity to applaud the artistic achievements of our peers, who include some of Canada’s most gifted performers.

Award of Excellence
The ACTRA Toronto Award of Excellence recognizes a distinguished ACTRA Toronto performer whose outstanding career achievements as a performer are matched by a significant volunteer contribution to the industry and ongoing work of ACTRA Toronto to improve the lives of its members.
Outstanding Performance Awards
Candidates for the Outstanding Performance awards are submitted for consideration by ACTRA Toronto members. There are currently seven Outstanding Performance categories:
- Male On Camera
- Female On Camera
- Non-Binary/Gender Non-Conforming* On Camera
- Gender Non-Conforming or Female Voice (17 years and older)
- Gender Non-Conforming or Male Voice (17 years and older)
- Youth Voice (16 years and under)
- Commercial On Camera (Principal or Silent On Camera)
*The expansion of the Outstanding Performance Awards for the 2025 Awards from four to seven categories was determined following input and consultation from the ACTRA Toronto Executive and Council, the ACTRA Toronto outACTRAto Committee, the ACTRA Toronto Gender Diversity Sub-Committee and the ACTRA Toronto Voice Committee. The ACTRA Toronto Awards Committee acknowledges the expansion of the Outstanding Performance Awards by these three categories does not fully represent the composition and diversity of the ACTRA Toronto membership and will take into consideration the addition of other categories for future awards to ensure more equitable representation.
Members’ Choice Series Ensemble Award
The Members’ Choice Series Ensemble Award shines a spotlight on great Canadian ensembles and is one way we’re promoting and celebrating pride in Canadian shows — shows spoken in our voice, telling our stories. The Award was established in 2018 to allow members the opportunity to vote for their favourite ACTRA Toronto cast.
Stunt Ensemble Award
The ACTRA Toronto Stunt Ensemble Award was introduced in 2022 to honour the achievements of a stunt performer or group of stunt performers.
Stunt Award
The Stunt Award recognizes the significant achievement of an ACTRA Toronto stunt performer.
Submit an outstanding performance. Submissions are open from January 1 to December 31.

Virtual Awards
The ACTRA Awards in Toronto were held virtually in 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Celebrate the outstanding performances, career excellence, advocacy and contribution to the industry of ACTRA Toronto members.
