Due to the ongoing labour disputes between the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) and Canada Post, a possible postal service disruption could begin at the end of May 2025. ACTRA Toronto members may experience delays receiving mailed payments. To help ensure timely access to your earnings, IPA productions (Film/Television) have been advised to make alternate arrangements for delivery of cheques until postal service delivery resumes. Commercial cheques have been held for pick-up at the ACTRA Toronto offices at 625 Church Street.

If you are expecting a cheque from an IPA production, check with the production first to see what alternate arrangements they may have made for pick-up/delivery.

Commercial Cheques

As per the NCA, Section 26, Remittance of Payments, session payments are due 15 business days from date of production. Use payments are due 20 working days from the first air date.

If you have authorized your agent to pick up your cheques, please confirm with them before calling or visiting the ACTRA Toronto office to enquire about NCA cheques.
