What is the Asian Performer Showcase?
Our membership is made up of performers from a diverse landscape of cultures and voices, but do you feel like you aren’t being seen or that your voice isn’t being represented on screen? Well, ACTRA Toronto is excited to announce the second edition of our Diversity Showcase.
This edition of our showcase will feature Asian performers and is presented in partnership with Reel Asian and in collaboration with the Casting Directors Society of Canada (CDC).
As we always say, you can cast the world in Toronto, and this showcase is one of the many ways we’re ensuring local and international casting directors know how wonderfully diverse and talented our performers are!
How it works
- Interested performers can submit a self tape (information in the form below).
- Casting Directors from the CDC will screen the self tapes and select their top picks based on the quality and performance ability showcased on the self-tape.
- Performers chosen are featured on our Diversity Showcase website.
- We promote the spotlighted performers to Casting Directors hiring in the province.
