Northern Committee

ACTRA Toronto Northern Committee
We’re excited to announce the formation of the ACTRA Toronto North Planning Committee — a new initiative to strengthen representation, advocacy and community for performers across Northern Ontario.
This committee will be a place for Northern members to get involved with the union. The committee will endeavor to meet with members from the region four (4) times per year, via an online or hybrid format. These meetings will be supported in facilitation by members of the ACTRA Toronto Executive and staff.
Initial applications will be reviewed by the committee liaison team: ACTRA Toronto President Kate Ziegler, VP Elana Dunkelman, and staff members Clare Johnston and Grace Hawkins. All eight seat recommendations will be submitted to ACTRA Toronto Council for approval.
Committee Structure
The ACTRA Toronto North Planning committee will consist of eight (8) members:
- 2 Co-Chairs
- 1 Secretary
- 1 Member Engagement Coordinator
- 4 Members-at-Large (a committee member without a set job, who helps out wherever extra support is needed)
Note: Positions may evolve as the committee grows.
