The Video Game Working Group is excited to invite members to an online workshop with voice director Lindsey Gardner on April 23rd, 2026, from 1-2:30 pm. Submissions are open now and will close on Monday, April 6, 2026.

Whether you’re curious about breaking into video game performance, looking to sharpen your skills, or just want to learn more about the craft, this will be a fun and practical session. We encourage all interested members to apply – no matter your experience level or home recording setup.

Five participants will be selected to receive live coaching, while any ACTRA Toronto member in good standing may attend as an observer to watch the work unfold in real time.

Participants:

This workshop will include five participants who will work directly with Lindsey Gardner, while other ACTRA Toronto members will be able to observe. Participants need to be ACTRA Toronto members in good standing.

We aim to have a mix of performers, ensuring:

  • A range of home recording setups (phone/laptop mic to professional home studio)
  • A range of video game acting experience (from little or none to experienced performers)

Participants will perform prepared video game material on camera during the Zoom workshop, either selected from provided scripts or self-sourced material (which will require staff vetting).

All applicants will complete the following questions. If you are not selected as a participant, you will still be invited to observe the workshop.

Briefly describe the setup you would use to participate in the workshop. This could range from a professional home booth to a phone or laptop microphone.
