“Our members have spoken and delivered another selection of exceptional finalists featuring talented Canadian ensembles,” says ACTRA Toronto President David Gale. “The Members’ Choice Series Ensemble Award has become a much-anticipated part of the ACTRA Awards in Toronto since it was launched in 2017.”
Added Gale: “In 2022, ACTRA Toronto was thrilled to launch the Stunt Ensemble Award to recognize the exceptional contributions of our talented Stunt Coordinators and Performers to our screen-based industry. This year’s nominees reflect the unique and original skill set that have helped establish Ontario as one of the leading film and television production jurisdictions in the world.”
Members of ACTRA Toronto vote for the five finalists and winner of the Series Ensemble Award. The ACTRA Toronto Stunt Ensemble Award winner is chosen by a jury of ACTRA Toronto’s stunt community members.
The ACTRA Toronto Stunt Ensemble and Members’ Choice Series Ensemble Award winners will be announced at the 21st ACTRA Awards in Toronto, which will take place at an intimate in-person event on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
ACTRA Toronto is the largest organization within ACTRA, representing over 15,000 of Canada’s 28,000 professional performers working in recorded media in Canada. An advocate for Canadian culture since 1943, ACTRA is a member-driven union that continues to secure rights and respect for the work of professional performers.
