TORONTO, ON (April 8, 2026) – Award-winning actor, producer, and writer Nadine Bhabha will host the 24th ACTRA Awards in Toronto, proudly presented by AFBS, which will take place during a star-studded evening ceremony on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Koerner Hall at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning. 

“Nadine is blazing a shimmering trail all her own as one of the most sought-after Canadian performers and we are thrilled to have her share her charm and wit as host of this year’s ACTRA Awards in Toronto. There is truly nothing better for me as President than to see our members shining,” says ACTRA Toronto President Kate Ziegler. “From Heated Rivalry to Letterkenny to This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Nadine continues to bring laughter, joy and humanity through the characters she plays and the audiences she reaches with her work both in front of and behind the camera.”

Nadine is an award-winning writer, actor, producer from Toronto, or “The Six,” if you’re Drake or stuck in the early ‘00s. She’s written for This Hour Has 22 MinutesChildren Ruin Everything, CTV/Crave’s upcoming comedy Slo Pitch and Crave’s new limited series, Yaga. She’s best-known for her performances on Heated Rivalry (HBO Max/Crave), Letterkenny (Hulu/Crave), The Holiday Shift (CBS), One More Time (CBC), and This Hour Has 22 Minutes (CBC). Her Canadian Screen Awards nominations include Best Supporting Actor (How to Fail as a PopstarThe Communist’s Daughter), Best Writing for Sketch Comedy (This Hour Has 22 Minutes), and two nominations for 2026: Best Guest Performance, Drama Series (Heated Rivalry) and Best Supporting Performance, Web Program or Series (Settle Down). 

A co-founder of Hot Pilot Party, a live-table read event that is held yearly during TIFF and recently at Banff World Media Festival, Nadine is committed to writing and portraying nuanced characters with an emphasis on hilarious female narratives.
