Dear members,
Thank you to everyone who joined us last night at our town hall.
It was a powerful evening of civic dialogue. We were able to unpack the spirit of the petition, clarify some concerns of our members, and make space for understanding. These are moments of honest conversation that strengthen our union.
ACTRA Toronto is committed to showing up, listening with intention, and working together across all branches in true solidarity. We know that trust is not a given — it’s built through transparency, accountability, and consistent care. While we may not always agree on the best path forward, we believe in a shared commitment to fairness, openness, and doing right by one another.
We also want to acknowledge the intentions behind the petition. Even when members challenge the status quo, it stems from a place of wanting ACTRA to be stronger. We hear that. We take it seriously. And we remain committed to building solutions together — thoughtfully, respectfully, and in solidarity.
A heartfelt thank you to our generous staff and council members for their time, insight, and care in holding space with us.
In solidarity,
Kate Ziegler
ACTRA Toronto President
