“Calling members to let them know of their ACTRA Awards in Toronto nomination is truly one of the highlights of my year,” says Kate Ziegler, ACTRA Toronto President. “There is nothing quite like coming together to celebrate the incredibly diverse, talented and eclectic performers who are out there telling Canadian stories, right here at home. On May 11, we’re bringing that energy to the 24th annual ACTRA Awards in Toronto and returning to one of the city’s most stunning venues where exceptional talent from across our membership will take to the stage, statues will be handed out, and we’ll come together to raise a glass to how fortunate we are to do what we love, protected and empowered by our union agreements.”

Added Ziegler: “Now more than ever, Canadian performers are proud to tell Canadian stories, and we are actively building the power to help ensure we can keep doing exactly that despite the threats and changes to the production landscape. We are here, and the ACTRA Awards in Toronto is just one of the ways we stake our claim as the cultural workers we are, and we wear that proudly.”

Candidates for ACTRA Toronto’s juried Outstanding Performance awards are submitted for consideration by ACTRA Toronto members. The nominees and winners are chosen by a jury comprised of ACTRA Toronto members that reflect the communities represented within the ACTRA Toronto membership. The ACTRA Toronto Stunt Award recipient is chosen by a committee comprised of past ACTRA Toronto Stunt Award recipients. Lifetime memberships are determined by ACTRA Toronto Council and presented to individuals in recognition of their significant volunteer contributions to ACTRA Toronto and their ongoing work on behalf of our members.

ACTRA Toronto members vote for the five finalists and winner of the Member’s Choice Series Ensemble Award. The ACTRA Toronto Stunt Ensemble Award winner is chosen by a jury of ACTRA Toronto’s stunt community members.

Winners will be announced at the 24th ACTRA Awards in Toronto on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Koerner Hall at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning.
